The Hawaii travel guide series
Islands of fire and ocean.
Oahu·Maui·Big Island·Kauai·Molokai·Lanai
Hawaii is not one destination. Each island has its own character, its own pace and its own reasons to go: city surf and history on Oahu, road trips and sunrise above the clouds on Maui, live volcanoes on the Big Island, sea cliffs and rainforest on Kauai.
So Discover Hawaii publishes focused guides, one per island or theme. Each covers what you need on the ground: when to go, how to get around, where to stay, what it costs, local etiquette and the precautions that keep a trip on track.
The island guides
Each guide is built for a single island. All titles are in production for 2027.
The volcano series
Every Hawaiian island was built by volcanoes, and on the Big Island they are still at work. Kilauea and Mauna Loa, two of the most active volcanoes on Earth, and Haleakala on Maui, where people drive above the clouds for sunrise.
The ocean series
Snorkelling with green sea turtles, night dives with manta rays off Kona, humpback whales in winter and some of the most famous surf breaks in the world. A guide to Hawaii from the water.
